GIVE ‘EM HELL HARRY!
“Give 'Em Hell, Harry” is a dynamic one-man presentation of our 33rd President, who was a haberdasher, farmer, WWI soldier, and U.S. Senator. Harry S. Truman was a common man with common sense, who was an open, outspoken, and honest politician. He confronted some of the most critical problems of the past century. He never stopped “shooting from the lip” about the issues he faced and the people he faced. His comments on the leading political figures of his time are perceptive, deliciously candid, and sometimes downright prophetic.
This play features local accomplished actor, Jack Paul Rabito. Theatre critics have called Jack's stage performances “riveting”, “emotionally honest”, “inviting audiences into the character's soul”. Jack Paul Rabito brings honesty and passion to his portrayal of President Harry S. Truman and lets Harry speak for himself. Jack made quite an impression on Englewood last year as he portrayed the real-life Bob Scott in “The Case of the Crushed Conch.”
This play will be performed at The Historic Green Church, 416 W. Green St., Englewood 7 p.m. Sat. Apr. 14 and 2 p.m. Sun. Apr. 15. General admission tickets are $12. Call 474-3764 to reserve.
The Lemon Bay Historical Society will receive a portion of the proceeds from this show.
